About Jon Meyers, Professional Photographer

From Eugene to Chicago to Dublin, Jon's field experience and do-it-yourself approach to photography have led him to develop a style and business unique among today's photographers.

From Bedroom to Studio

Jon started MoonRay Imaging in 2002, in Eugene, Oregon. The original idea of MoonRay began on the desk in Jon's bedroom in 1999. Since then it has grown to a 1,500-sq. foot, state-of-the-art digital and film studio. Clients and projects include weddings, portraiture, corporate and commercial, and more.

Photography Background

Jon has learned photography from a mixture of school and pure experience. His college mentor was Ken Mierzwa, and afterwards Jon began his studies in the Chicago division of the School of Hard Knocks. In addition to assisting other professional photographers, he has worked in environments ranging from urban Chicago to rural Ireland, and now also has the experience of starting and running his own business.
